How did you get involved with Children’s Scholarship Fund and the Young Leaders Board?

I’ve been involved with community service relating to youth education for a few years and when I moved to New York, I wanted to continue pursuing community service opportunities in the youth education. I came across
Children’s Scholarship Fund and the Young Leaders Board when browsing for organizations and initiatives I could potentially get involved in. CSF’s mission to provide educational scholarships for families in need was something that inspired me to join the initiative.

Why is education important to you?

My parents always emphasized the importance of education as it opened an endless amount of doors to success for an individual. Having experienced access to education throughout my life I was able to receive numerous opportunities that have shaped my personal and professional life and have set me up to succeed. Education is a fundamental opportunity that every child should be able to receive and shouldn’t be seen as a privilege. I am extremely grateful for the access to education I was able to receive and I look forward to helping others receive the same opportunities.
