How did you get involved with Children’s Scholarship Fund and the Young Leaders Board?
I came across CSF while I was searching for non-profits to volunteer with after moving to NYC. I thought CSF was targeting a demographic that is traditionally undeserved by larger non-profits, so I jumped at the opportunity to get involved.
Why is education important to you?
My parents instilled the value of a good education in me very early on in my life. I believe many of the world’s largest and most complex social issues can be ameliorated by equal access to a good education.
What is your favorite part of being involved with CSF and the YL Board?
Seeing the material impact of our work is the most exciting and rewarding aspect for me.
