We at Children’s Scholarship Fund want to join the chorus of excited voices supporting yesterday’s Carson v. Makin decision, in which the Supreme Court ruled that Maine families participating in the state’s Town Tuitioning Program should be allowed to choose religious schools as well as other types of non-government schools.
Ted Forstmann and John Walton founded Children’s Scholarship Fund with the goal of empowering families to choose the educational path that best meets their children’s needs, and yesterday’s ruling is one more step in the direction of making their vision of educational freedom for all children a reality.
