Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, CSF has already raised and disbursed more than $1.1 million over the past month through our Stay in School Fund. This one-time emergency relief provides hope to more than 1,400 of the neediest CSF Scholars and their families impacted by the Covid-19 crisis and includes:
- Tuition Relief covering the remainder of the 2019-20 tuition due for more than 1,400 CSF Scholars, giving their families one less bill to pay as they struggle to feed and shelter their families during this crisis, and
- Laptops or Chromebooks for approximately 200 families in need of technology for distance learning.
Through another effort, we have been able to identify CSF families to receive $500 gift cards to help pay for groceries and other essentials in this time of need. In addition, we are sharing information and resources for our families through weekly emails and on our website.
The immediate heartfelt response from parents to these actions has been overwhelming, and their gratitude and relief at being able to keep their children at their chosen schools is palpable. After reading their notes to us, I have learned in a new way how much our families value their scholarships and education, and how important it is for them to be able to choose the right school for their child. Below are just a few of the grateful messages from CSF parents; you can read more here.
“You guys don’t even know how much you have helped me and my family during this time. I can continue on with Kimora’s schooling. I truly feel like I’m going to cry. So much has been happening and this is truly a blessing. Thank you!” – Trisha M., New Grace Education Center
“I have been out of work since April because I wasn’t feeling very well, so this is a blessing to me. Thank you again because now my daughter can finish her school year.” – Sakeena M., The Learning Tree
“I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am very grateful to your organization for giving us this help when we most need it. Everyone is having very difficult times, and your generous help shows how one can help another with kindness. Your surprise help means everything now.” – Eva B., St Joseph Catholic Academy
“Thank you so much for all your help. I have no words to express how thankful I am. Thanks to the generosity of donors and supporters. May God bless your life and your family.” – Milenny P., Manhattan Christian Academy
CSF focused on the neediest families first, but there are more CSF families with unmet needs. If you are able and have not already done so, please consider making a gift now to add to CSF’s Stay in School Fund. To all those who have contributed to the Stay in School Fund, please accept my sincere gratitude. You are truly making a difference.
